Ingredients

Steps

  • 1

Heat a large pan over medium heat. Once it’s hot, begin adding the sausage.

  • 2

Cook the sausage, breaking it into small pieces, until browned and cooked through, about 10 minutes.

  • 3

Stir and melt the butter into the pan. Add in the sage, salt, and pepper.

  • 4

Gradually sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage, stirring it until dissolved. Cook for two minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • 5

Slowly pour one cup of milk into the pan, and stir until the milk is very thick. Then pour the remaining milk into the pan.

  • 6

Turn the heat to medium-high, and simmer, stirring frequently until thickened into a gravy, about 8-10 minutes.

  • 7

Taste and season with more salt and pepper if desired, then remove the pan from the heat.

  • 8

Place two flaky biscuits halves into a Chinet Classic® 16 oz. bowl. Ladle ½ cup of sausage gravy over the biscuits and serve warm.
