    Combine the shredded chicken and two cups of the spicy barbecue sauce in a large slow cooker and stir.

    Cook on low for about an hour or until the chicken is completely warmed through.

    To build each sandwich, place one slice of provolone cheese on top of the cut side of the toasted bottom bun. Carefully spoon one cup of the shredded barbecue chicken directly on top of the cheese.

    Top with two tablespoons of French fried onions and a few pickle chips.

    Drizzle some more sauce over the pickles, then top the sandwich with the toasted top bun.
